Our Mission is the independent and sustainable publication of relevant, reliable and ecologically sound information which is both, appropriate as well as applicable for farmers in Africa. Furthermore, the network and publicity as well as the growing knowledge gained by and through TOF shall be main-

tained and made accessible to a wide range of goal-related people, institutions and policy makers.

Our Readers include the farming community as well as the decision makers who are interested in learning more about sustainable agriculture and ecologically sound development. TOF is a monthly magazine with 18'000 copies, distributed nation-wide in Kenya and reaches around 100'000 readers. The electronic version of TOF can be accessed free of charge on the Internet and has been used so far by farmers and researchers in over 20 tropical

countries.

Our Partner Project is www.infonet-biovision.org, an information platform for ecological control of plant pests and disease transmitters. The goal is dissemination of up-to-date knowledge on ecological pest control, disease prevention for humans and animals as well as on respectful methods to secure and increase food production in East Africa. An application-oriented, transparently structured platform with focus on local needs allows farmers, agricultural and health advisers fast access to the most up-to-date information.
